It is with great sadness that Muthende’s family announces his sudden and untimely demise on Saturday morning, 24-03-2018. Muthende was the loving husband of Nancy Weveti Njeru, doting father of Anthony Muriithi(Businessman Embu), Leonard Muriuki (Pharmaken Ltd), Denis Macharia (Businessman Thika), Jacquilyn Gakenia and Fiona Gichiku.
Son of the late Minigi Giconjo and the late Rebecca Mbuya “Wavo.” Son-in-law of the late Ngoroi Runyenje and the late Ruth Nthia. Brother of the late Jenaro Ngari, Lawrence Nyaga, Maclass Njue, Cyprian Mwangi and Njoka Minigi.
Father-in-law of Beatrice Akinyi, Enid Kanyiri, Anne Njeri and Peter Kung’u. Affectionate grandfather of Ivy Wavinya, Angel Gakenia, Leon Mukeni, Tshomela Wendo, Lee Mutethya, Lindsay Karimi, Levan Mukeni and Liam Njuguna.
Family and friends are meeting as follows: Mombasa: Tue 27.03.2018,6-8PM at Maasai Restaurant opposite Reef Hotel, Nairobi: Thur 29.03.2018,6-8PM at The Sagret Hotel Milimani and Siakago: Daily 5-7PM at his home,Nthawa Village.
Burial and funeral service will be held on Saturday, 31st March 2018 at his home in Siakago, Nthawa Village starting from 11.00AM
Muthende was generous, friendly to everyone he met and a source of laughter to all who knew him. He’s no longer with us but he’s left a part of him that will remain in us till we all meet our end.
