It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the sudden passing of John Kariuki Kamanu on March 25, 2018 after a short illness. He was a lecturer at the University of Nairobi (UoN), JKUAT and TCC.
Loving husband of Jane Njeri Kariuki (Central Bank of Kenya). Caring and loving father of Terry Wambui Kariuki (UoN sch of med) and Yvonne Ng’endo Kariuki (Rome). Son of the late Edward Kamanu and the late Grace Ng’endo of Mwimuto. Step-son of Jane Kamanu. Son in-law of Partrick Komo and the late Teresia Komo of Gilgil. Brother of Sarah Kariuki, Andrew Kamanu (UK), Micheal Muuri (UK) and Jane Morgan, Jimmy Gikonyo and the late Stephen Karanja. Step-brother of Teddy Kamanu (USA) and Edgar Kamanu. Brother-in-law of Nathan Kariuki, Agatha Muuri, Diana Karanja, Patricia Njenga, Mary Komo Mwai, Lucy Muigai, Gabriel Gitau, Paul Njoroge and the late Morgan Njoroge Gakuo.
Friends and relatives are meeting at their home in Membley Park Estate, off bypass, Ruiru and Mwimuto, Kabete for prayers from 5.00 pm daily.
Viewing of the body will be from 7.00 am on Tuesday April 3, 2018 at Chiromo Mortuary. The cortege will leave thereafter for a requiem mass at St. Lucia Catholic Church, Membley, Ruiru commencing at 9.00 am to 12noon.Thereafter the cortege will proceed to Mwimuto, Kibichiku, Kabete for laying of the body.
