We announce the promotion to Glory of our beloved Retired Elder Hemdan Githaiga Muita, formerly Senior Chief of Naromoru location which occurred on 13 November 2017 at Outspan Hospital, Nyeri. He was husband of the late Mrs. LoiseWangechi Githaiga and brother of the late Nicholas Nderitu Muita and Njoki Muita.
He was father of Winfred Githaiga, Japheth Muita, Anastasia Kinyanjui, Alice Kamau, Irene Njoroge, Ephraim Njugi, Titus Nderitu, Peter Muthoga, Duncan Ndirangu and Anthony Kihumba. Father in law to Ruth Njoki, late William Kinyanjui, Past Moderator, the Very Rev. Dr. Jesse Kamau, Anthony Njoroge (Chieni Plains), Anyango Njugi, Susan Nderitu, Susan Muthoga, Mary Ndirangu and Mercy Kihumba. Doting grandfather to 35 children, loving great grandfather to 43 children, mentor and friend to many.
Family & friends are meeting at P.C.E.A St. Andrews Church, Nairobi for prayers & funeral arrangements on Thursday 16 and Friday 17 November 2017 at 5:30 pm and at his residence in Kakureti Naromoru at 3:00 pm daily. A memorial service will be held on Sunday 19 November 2017 at his home in Kakureti Naromoru at 3:00pm. The cortege leaves Outspan Funeral Home at 8am on Tuesday 21 November 2017 for the funeral service to be held at P.C.E.A Nyange, Kakureti Naromoru at 10:00am. The burial will take place thereafter at his residence in Kakureti, Naromoru location, Nyeri County.
