It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Joshua Gichora Kariuki a.k.a Nkomo after aging gracefully and short illness at Kiria-ini Hospital.
Son of the late Kariuki Gichimu and Wairimu Kariuki. Husband of the late Frasia Karindi and Teresa Wanjiku. Brother of Ndungu kariuki, Rithi Wanjiru Mathenge, the late Wangeci Ngeera, the late Shem Gichimu, the late Naftally, the late Mubuu, late Wambui, the late Gathekia, the late Wakanyi Ngugi and the late Hezron Kamau. Step brother of Mutero, Kanjega, Irungu and Esphan Wambugu. Father of Alice Wairimu Ngiria, James Mureithi (USA), Joyce Wanjiru Haron, Jackson Githinji, Fridah Wangeci (JKUAT), Shem Gichora (C.U.E), the late Gilbert Mugo, Marion Njoki Kagira (JKUAT), the late Mubuu, Rebecca Njumbi, Phillip Macharia (Shauri Moyo), Serah Wangari (JKUAT), Emily Wairimu (JKUAT), Alice Wangeci, George Kariuki, and Pricillar Wambui. Father-in-law of Johnson Ngiria, Harun Mwangi, Nazarene Mureithi (U.S.A), Francis Kagira (Meru University), Kagai Mwihia, Gladys Mugo, Jacinta Gichimu of Githurai-Kimbo among others. Grandfather and great grandfather of many.
Family and friends are meeting daily at Mt. Africa Bahati and at his rural home for funeral arrangements. The cortege leaves Kiria- Ini Hospital mortuary on Tuesday, 20th March 2018 at 9.00am followed by funeral service at St. Peters ACK, Kiamuya. Burial will take place at his farm in Mairoini village, Kiaguthu Sub-location, Chinga location, Othaya Sub-county, Nyeri County.
