It is with a heavy heart and the humble acceptance of the will of God that we announce the passing of John Otieno Onim (AJON) formely of Rentokil Initial Kenya and Pest Guard Limited, Dar Es Salaam Tanzania which occurred on 11th March, 2018 after a short illness, bravely born. Son of the late Richard Onim Kabach and the late Rose Rebecca Onim of Nyakach Kajimbo. Beloved grandson of the late John Kabach and the late Magdalina Aluoch Kabach (Nyodare) and the late Flora Ajwang’ Kabach of Nyakach Kajimbo. Son-in-law of the late Charles Owuor and Janet Owuor of Sindo Kaksingri. Beloved husband of Linda Akinyi Owuor (Standard Chartered Bank). Loving father of Stephanie Mahinya, Tina Atieno and John Paul. Beloved brother of Mark Onim (REM Insurance), Bernard Onim (Safaricom Ltd), Fredrick Onim, Nicholas Onim, Eveline Onim and Maurice Onim. Brother-in-law of Patricia Onyango, Alice Anyango, Victor Agina among others. Uncle of Sharleen, Denzel Richard Onim among others. Nephew of Peter Ochieng, the late Philip Oyoo, Joshua Ogola, Hosea Ochieng, the late Maurice Odare, Gaudensia Obonyo, Ruth Nyapoya, Rehema Mohammed, Caren Arego, among others. Step-son of Jacinta Oyoo, Rose Odare, Agnes Anyango and Pamela Ogola among others. Cousin of Samuel Ade Aran, George Okoth, Arthur Okoth, Timothy Ochieng among others. John had a special friendly relation with Vitalis Obimbo, a man he loved so much, lived with and always taken as his mentor and father. He was deeply loved by Mrs. Jeniffer Obimbo whom he referred to as Madhee. Friends to Alfred Ogonda, Mike Ngere, Chris Opiyo among many others. Friends and relatives are meeting on Mondays and Thursdays at Duol Kombok in Mbotela Jogoo for funeral arrangements.There will be a final fundraising on Wednesday 28th March 2018 at the All Saints Cathedral from 5:30pm to offset funeral expenses.Well-wishers can send donations via Pay Bill number 436985 and account number: SENDER NAME. Funeral service will be held on Thursday 5th April 2018 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church Buru Buru from 2pm.The cortege will leave Chiromo Mortuary, Nairobi on Friday 6th April 2018 and will be laid to rest on Saturday April 7, 2018 at his home in Nyakach lower Kajimbo, Kolweny stage, Rachier Pri Sch.
