It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the demise of Sarah Wairimu Mbatia that occured on 8th April 2018 after a short illness.
She is daughter to the late Mr. and Mrs. Pharis Kamau Wairegi. She hails from Githambo village, Murarandia location, Kahuro Subcounty, Murang’a county.
She is wife to Naftali Mbatia Waithaka and a mother of Dr. Betty Mbatia (USIU Africa) , Lilian Wanja (Nakuru), Grace Wanjiru (Kahatia), Lucy Waitherero (Mumbi girls), Cephas Waithaka (Nairobi) and Rebecca Wangari (Wahundura Boys). She has left behind 12 grandchildren.
She is sister to, the late Wairegi Kamau, Daniel Ngarachu, Stephen Thiong’o, Jamleck Kuria, John Kamau and Gerald Maina and was an aunt to many.
Friends and relatives are meeting daily for burial preparation at Nairobi Sagas hotel along thika road from 6PM to 8PM, and at her home in Githambo village from 4PM to 6PM.
The body leaves Kenyatta University Funeral Home on Monday 16th April 2018 at 7AM for a church service at ACK St Peters Muikuni church Gatara Parish at 10AM, and later proceed for burial at her home in Githambo (Mathanji) village
