It is with profound sorrow that we mourn the death of Mzee Peter Ochanji Wamukoya who passed away peacefully on Saturday 31/03/2018 at his home in Mumias East Sub-County. He was husband of Mama Christina Chuma, Mama Jennifer Inzofu and the Late Mama Rodah Dzihugwa.
He was the son of the late Enock Wamukoya and the late Mama Leah Achoka. Mzee Ochanji was the father of Francis Wamukoya, Charles Ochanji, Pastor John Okana, Stanley Masasa, Daktari Benard Shiundu, Prof. Moses Ochanji of California State University San Marcos, U.S.A., Maurice Wabuti, Fridah Wando, Leah Achoka, Wycliffe Manya and Ronald Makuba.
He was brother of Moses Chisienya, Selfa Simboyi, Clement Chitechi, and the late Isaac Keya, Paul Wabuti, Rosa Nechesa, Phelista Kweyu and Nandwa. He was brother in-law to Patrick Maramba and Bakari Okoth. He leaves behind fifty Grand-children and many Great- Grand Kids.
The cortege will leave St. Mary’s Mumias Mission Hospital Mortuary on Thursday 12/04/2018 for his home, Musaka Village Mumias East, Kakamega County. Burial will be at his home on 14/04/2018 at 2.00 p.m.
