It is with humble acceptance of God’s will, that we announce the death of Lucy Gathoni Njunia from Chehe location, Iria-ini ward, Mathira East Nyeri. (Formerly Kayole Primary School teacher). Daughter of the late Joseph Njunia Gikandi and the late Gladys Wanjiru Njunia. Loving mother of Victor Mwangi, Emma Wanjiru, Moses Wanjau and Rose Mwihaki. Sister of the late Rose Githara, Ephraim Gikandi, the late Kaburi, Dr.Robert Mathenge and the late Jane Kangi. Sister in law of Rosemary Mathenge, Vigirnia Gikandi, Beatrice Kaburi, mother in law of George Barasa, Paul Mliwa and Beatrice Mumbi. Aunty to many, grandmother to many, great grandmother to Sean Waburi.
Friends and relatives are meeting daily at Hot dishes Restaurant, Cardinal Otunga Rd in Nairobi starting from 5.00 pm and at her home in Gichiga-ini village at 4:00pm. The final meeting will be held at St Andrews Church on Wednesday 8th at 5pm.
The cortege will depart from Jamii Mortuary on 10th November, 2017 at 9:15am. The service and burial will be held at her home in Gichiga-ini village.
