It is with profound sorrow and full acceptance of God’s will that we announce the promotion to glory of Phyllis Mwihaki Ngugi of Gachuguru, Korokoro Village, Kibichoi Sub-Location, Komothai Location, Githunguri Division of Kiambu County.
Daughter of the late Karugu Ngunda and Monicah Njeri Karugu of Gitombo, Komothai, Githunguri Division. Sister of Eunice Njoki Njenga of Kiambururu and the late; Teresiah Kabui Njombai of Miguta, Haroun Gakomo of Kamuchege, Jane Ruguru Wagichiu & Kieya Ndehi of Kiratina, and Mutha Kagunda & Nancy Waithira of Gitombo. Wife of Ngugi Ng’ang’a of Korokoro, Kibichoi, Githunguiri. Mother to: Ng’ang’a Ngugi of Riabai, Peter Karugu Ngugi of Parliament, Elder John Muiruri Ngugi of Min. of Water, Thika, Samuel Njoroge of Juja, Elder Monicah Ngugi – Ndogo of Mini Group, Winnie Njeri Ngugi of Ruiru Prisons, Mary Wambui Ngugi of Jeremiah Nyaga Technical Institute, Embu, Francis Mbuah Ngugi of Ruiru By-Pass and Dan Gakomo Ngugi. Mother-in-Love to: Esther Ngima Karugu, Rev. Milka Njeri Muiruri of P.C.E.A. Mihuti Parish, Charity Wambui Njoroge of Min. of Tourism & Wildlife, Nairobi, Elijah N. Ndogo of Kilimanjaro Plantations (TZ), Caroline Njeri Mbua of Sportsview Hotel, Kasarani and the late Hannah Njeri Gakomo. She was grand mum of 18, and great grand mum of 4.
Friends and relatives are meeting daily for prayers and funeral arrangements at her husband’s home in Gachuguru, Korokoro, Kibichoi village in Githunguri. The cortege leaves Kigumo Hospital Mortuary, Githunguri Division on Wednesday 17/04/2019 at 9.00 a.m. Burial and funeral ceremonies will commence at 10.00 a.m. at her Korokoro home.
