t is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the demise of Mary Wangui Waweru(Wakanyua) that occurred on 10th April 2021. She was the wife of the late Ephantus Waweru Ng’ang’a (Wakahoro) of Njiru-ini sublocation Ruthanji location Mukurwe-ini Nyeri County. Daughter of the late Kanyua Ngiriiya and the late Wangechi Kanyua. Sister to Gakundi, the late Ngumi and Ngima. Mother of Late Ngunjiri, Nyaguthie, Muthoni, Wanjugu, Wanjiru, Kanyua, Gladys Waweru ( KERRA, Nakuru) and Alice Waweru (Nanyuki Boarding). Step mother to Kagotho, Nyaguthie and Ngunjiri. Mother-in-law to Rugethe, Kamotho, Late Kubu, Gachina and Kimani Aunt to many, Grand-mother of Martin (Ernest & Martin Associates.CPA-K), Ephantus, Waithuki, Maina, Njeri, 5 of her name sake Mary Wangui’s, Wairimu, Waitherero, Waheto, Njeri Kubu, Waweru Ngunjiri, Jane, Esther, Emma, Rose, Nyaguthie, Waweru Chege, Rachael, Waweru Gachina, Muthoni, Waruguru, Kamau, Njoki, Susan, Gracious, Justine, Ken, Wahito and Denis and great grand-mother to many. Family and friends have been meeting every evening daily at the family residence Mukurweni Gaithumbi village for prayers and final arrangement for her send off. The cortege leaves Outspan funeral home Nyeri on Thursday 15th April at 8.00am for a Requiem Mass at 10.00am at Kiawamururu Catholic Church and later burial at her home in Gaithumbi village ,Mukurweini sub-County. Mary, in God’s hands you rest , in our hearts you live forever
