She was the wife of the Late Mwalimu John Khisa Mumelo. Mother to Charles Wasilwa Khisa, the Late Agnes Nameme, the Late Janet Naswa, Beatrice Ramenya of Seattle, USA, Dr. Christopher Khisa of NSSF HQs, the Late Eunice Nabayi, Violet Katee, Evans Mumelo Khisa of Qatar, Eliud Wauyo Khisa of Kenya Power, the Late Fred Wakhungu Khisa and Nancy Khisa of West Kenya Sugar. Sister to Joyner Nabukhwami, Bilha Muganda, Alpina Minah, Ann Nabangala, Hellen Musundi, Sofia Chesoli, David Lusweti, Richard Wepukhulu, Jane Nasambu, Alice Naliaka, Joseph Wanjala and Judith Namalwa. Mother-in-law to Agnetta Awinja, Ruth Wasilwa, Bishop Kenneth Ramenya Olaka of USA, Inviolata Khisa of NSSFNairobi, Katee Mwanza of Huduma Center Secretariat, Consolata Wauyo and Peter Okong’o of The Kenya Year Book. Grandmother and Great Grandmother to many.
She will be laid to rest on 31 July 2021 at her home on Kibayi Farm Mfupi area, Plot No. 151-Kamukuywa Scheme Bungoma North, Bungoma County.
