It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the promotion to higher glory of retired teacher Margaret Wambui (Nyambura) Gacicio, which occurred on 11th August, 2021.
Wife of the late Paul Gacicio Macharia of Muirungi village, Chinga South Location, Nyeri South Sub-county, Nyeri County.
Daughter of the late Joseph Macharia Githinji and Mary Wanjiku Macharia. Sister of Rev. John Harrison Thuku, the late [Francis Maina, James Wamiti, Peter Mwangi, Paul Nyingi and Muthoni]. Mother to Grace Kaguta, Pauline and John Mwirigi [Meru and Nyeri Polytechnic], Michael and Jane [USA], Jane Gacicio [Tetu Girls’], Martha [Chloride Exide] and the late Dr. Maina Jimnah, Kagiri and Rebecca [USA], Peter and Julia [Gatundu], Elizabeth Gacicio [Mombasa], Thuku and Eva[Nairobi]. Grandmother to Vincent and Beatrice, Hope and Collins, Paul, Rachael and Marianna, Brian, Virginia, Maxwell and Leewell, Jimnah and Elishiba, Paul and Terry, Claire, Gathoni and Joan, Brian and Jayden, Joy and Claire.
Family and friends are meeting daily at her home, Muirungi village from 4:00pm for prayers and burial preparations.
The cortège leaves Kiria-ini Mission Hospital Mortuary on Saturday, 21st August, 2021, at 7:00am for a funeral service at Mary of Mt. Carmel Muirungi Catholic Church, at 11:00am followed by the burial at her home residence.
Dear mum, you fought a good fight, kept the faith and in God’s hands you rest, in our hearts you remain forever. AMEN
