It is with humble acceptance that we announce the sudden demise of Patrick Kaibung’a M’itaru, that occurred on 14/08/2021, formerly of Kenyatta University, Philosophy & Religious Studies Department.
Son of the late Henry M’itaru and the late Carola M’itaru. Husband of Rose Muthoni Kaibung’a. Father of Lucy Washika, Stella Kaibung’a, Makena Kaibung’a, Henry Kaibung’a and Paul Kaibung’a. Father-in-law of John Washika and David Kalya. Grandfather of Jerome, Imani, Samantha and Itaru.
Brother of the late Mary Baariu, the late Martha Mugambi, Anastasia Kobia, Susan Mbogo, Saverina Mwenda, Rosa Kamenchu and the late George Baimunya. Brother-in-law of the late Clement Baariu, the late Johnson Kiraithe, the late Romano Kobia, the late Stanley Mbogo, Tony Mwenda, Simon Kamenchu Angelica Baimunya, James Maingi, Susanna Kiburi, Peter, Mary, the late Gitonga, Kaome, Mwiti and Edward. Son-in-law of James and Margaret M’Maranya. Uncle of many.
Family and friends are meeting at his home in Ruiru, Imani Estate and his village home in Charuru Village, Tigania East at 4:00pm. There will be a requiem mass at the Kenyatta University Catholic Church on Monday 23/08/2021, at 10.00am, after which the cortège will proceed to Meru.
There will be mass at Tigania Catholic Parish, in Muthara on Tuesday 24/08/2021, at 10.00am, followed by the burial at his home in Charuru Village, Tigania East. COVID-19 Protocols to be observed.
