It is with profound pain and deep sorrow that the Okeyo family announces the demise of Mama Margaret Akoth Buodo Okeyo of Kamango village, Awach Sub-location, Nyakach sub county Kisumu which occurred on 3rd August, 2021, at 5:15pm, at Tayiba Medical Centre in Kisumu. Mama suffered from chronic heart condition that was complicated by kidney failure.
Daughter of the late Mzee Zakaria Magawi and the late Rusalina Magawi of Jimo East (Ndori School), Nyakach Sub-county, Kisumu County. Wife of the late Pitalis Okeyo Ngiela of Kamango village, Awach sub-location, Nyakach Sub-county, Kisumu County. Co-wife of Elsa Okeyo.
Sister of the late Mama Agnes Ondego, the late Mama Anna Omollo, the late Joseph Abondo the late Bishop Paul Agwanda and the late Johannes Ondiek.
Mother of the late William Ochieng, Atieno Okeyo, Professor Stephen Olus (Uzima University), Monica Ochieng (Ksm), Felix Otieno (Maseno University), the late Dr. Pamela Koga, Florence Owuor (Equity Bank), George Okeyo, Bernard Okeyo, Kennedy Okeyo, late Emily Okeyo and Eric Villa (KSA). Step-mother of David, Phoebe, Daisy, Dan, Emily and Alice.
Mother in-law of Sabina Ochieng’ (KNH), Dr. Rosemary Obara-Okeyo (LREB), late Paul Ochieng, Lucy Otieno, the late Steven Omondi Koga (Nyakach Kadiang’a), Prof. Alfred Owuor (UoN), Belinda Otieno, Caroline Atieno, Carolyn Oluoch and Christine Indiaka(NMS).

Burial will be on 21st August at her home in Kamango Village, Awach, Nyakach Sub-county, Kisumu County.
