Celebrating the Life of
James Mburu Mwaura
June, 1941 – August, 2021
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved father, husband, James Mburu Mwaura, on 9th August 2021
Mr. Mburu was the loving husband of Salome Nduta and the devoted father of the late John Mwaura, Peter Kamara, Joseph Karanja, Patrick Kuria, Rosemary Wanjiku and Virginia Wangui. He was the father-in-law to: Chaz Kamara, Agnes Karanja, Angela Kuria, Ernest Muchiri and Stephen Manyara.
He was the son of the late Solomon Mwaura and late Damaris Wanjiku. He was the son-in-law to late Reverend Pastor Ernest Kamara and late Peris Wangui Kamara. He was a brother to Joseph Karanja, John Ngare, Josphine Gathoni and Joseph Mwaura. He was a brother-in-law and uncle to many. He was a grandfather to 15 grandchildren; Wangechi, Amani, Nadia, Usher, Tiffany, Annmarie, Tim, Natalie, Dominic, Aneta, Mary, Anel, Nasya, Dorothy and Ana.
He was a recognized member of the Catholic Men Association of Christ the King Gachika Catholic Church, Ndundu Parish.
In his long career as a teacher, Mr Mburu taught, mentored, and inspired many students, who have gone on to become successful citizens of this country and beyond. He was a role model, friend, and confidant to many.
We welcome you to celebrate his life with us in the following occasions:
A requiem mass to be held today, Friday 13 August, at 2 p.m. at Don Bosco Catholic Church, Upper Hill.
The body leaves KU Memorial Funeral Home on Tuesday 17 August at 08:00 am for the funeral mass at Christ the King Gachika Catholic Church on the same day from 10:00 am, followed by the burial at his home in Gachika Village, Gatundu South.
