It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Rev. Overseer (Rtd.) Simeon Ochieng’ of Church of God in East Africa.
Son of the late Peter Akhanyalaba Ochieng’ and the late Rosemary Anyanzwa Ochieng’. Loving husband of the late Lay Leader Eunice Awinja Ochieng’. Father of Alice Outa, Rev. David Wochieng’, Phyllis Kwendo, Perace Kabas, Herbert Ashiruma Advocate, Eldah Ochieng’, Peter Ochieng and Dr. Rubai Mandela.
Brother of Rhoda, Hellen, the late Jane, the late Gadi, the late Peninah, the late Allon, the late Apollo, Admona, Ayomas, the late Anyona, William Njeri and the late Margaret.
Cousin to the late Morton, the late Gideon Ashiruma, Ham Amulako, Odindo Olumi, Rev. Joseck Ochieng’, George Amunga, Florence Khasakhala, the late Alfred Shikhule, Sophia Nandwa, Dorcus Murunga among others.
Brother in law to Jackson, Joshua and James Andafu among others.
Father in law to Frederick Outa, David Kwendo, Thomas Kabas, Dr. Patrick Akhaukwa, Robert Keli, Jerusa Wochieng, Jacklyne Ashiruma and Priscah Elegwa.
Grandfather and great grandfather to many.
The body leaves Masaba Hospital Mortuary on Friday 13th August, 2021 at 7:00am followed by a funeral ceremony at his home in Eshibinga Village of Khwisero Sub-County of Kakamega County.
