It is with humble acceptance of Gods will that we announce the passing on of Mwalimu Sospeter Githendu Gathari on 6th December 2017.
Husband of Miriam Wambui Githendu. Son of the late David Gathari Muriemwe and the late Salome Wambura Gathari. Father of David Githendu, Mercy Njuguna, Jidraff Githendu, Patrick Githendu, Rosalid Wangeci Mwangi. Father-in-law of Hannah Waitherero Muriithi, Dr. Samson Njuguna Maina, Serah Njoki Kamau, Betsy Kagendo Warui, and Jackson Mwangi Ndegwa. Brother of Johnson Munene Gathari, the late Macharia Gathari, Kariuki Gathari, Wamae Gathari and Lucy Wagoco.
Grandfather of Carolyne Muriithi, Eric Muriithi, Stephen Njuguna, Mark Njuguna, Sharon Kamau, Joshua Kamau, Manuel Githendu, Crystal Githendu, Abigail Mwangi, Timothy Mwangi and Jeremy Mwangi.
Family and friends will meet for prayers at All Saints Cathedral on Friday 8th December 2017 and Monday 11th December 2017 from 6:00pm.
The cortege leaves Kenyatta University Funeral Home on Thursday 14th December 2017 at 8:00am for funeral service at ACK St. Peters Gathuthi-ini Church Kirinyaga. Thereafter burial will take place at his home in Kanjai village, Kirinyaga county.
