It’s with great sadness that we announce the passing on of Mzee Lucas Ayega Nyakeyo (Emori ya tata).
Husband of Mary Bochere, son of the late Chrisantus Ayega and the late Pascalia Moraa. Step son of Joyce Bonareri.
Father of Janet Kiptum, Ayega George, Alice Biraori, Gladys Nyanchera, Caren Moraa, the late Naomi Kemuma, Vincent Gwaro, Bonface Mogambi, Jared Mogeni and Emmanuel Omae.
Brother of the late Mwalimu Samwel Nyakeyo Ayega, Mark Ayega, Philip Ayega, the late Christopher Ayega (Mwenda pole), the late John Gwaro, the late Alexinah Nyanchama, the late Yuvenalis Mogere, Bernard, Patrick Mwendwa, Everline Kerubo, Richard and Henry.
Father-in-law to Richard, Clive, Fred, Mary, Damaris, Brendah and Sylivia. In-law of Kirias, Okioma, Makori, Chigutu, Nyachani, Bosire and Obara.

The funeral meetings are taking place at his home in Bonyando, Suneka Kisii County. There will be a fundraising on 20/07/2021(Tuesday). The cortege leaves Christa Marian Funeral Parlor on 22/07/21; and he will be laid to rest on the same day in Bonyando – Suneka, Kisii County.
His humour, kindness and honesty are a pleasure to recall. “….Whether we live or die we belong to the Lord”.
