It is with profound sadness that we announce the death of Jayne Adhiambo Okado, formerly of The Government Chemist.
Daughter of Jacob I. Othieno (deceased) and Agnes A. Othieno (deceased) of Yiro Manyala. Wife to George Okado Wanyama of Budalangi. Beloved mother of Belinda Rodney Okado, Lynette Achieng’ Okado-Katsivo. Mother-in-law to Joash Tula Katsivo, grandmother to Amaya Agina Katsivo and Michael Mungendu Katsivo, Eli Mugabe Katsivo. Sister to Florence Othieno, David Otieno (deceased), Stephen Othieno, Joseph Ogwell, Dr. Margaret Mak’Anyengo and Dr. Patricia Othieno.
Sister-in-law to Paul Mugabe Okado (deceased), Mark Tambiti Okado, Dismas Bwire Okado (deceased), Raphael Oduory Okado (deceased), Xavier Lugaga Okado, Linus Dube Okado, Christopher Were Okado, Geoffrey Okado, Terence Abongo Okado, Akochi Okado, Ayimba Okado, Nabwire Okado, Odundo Okado (deceased), Ouma Okado and Philip Opali Okado, Colonel (Rtd) Dr. Kepher Mak’Anyengo, Hanifa Othieno and Barack Nyamango (deceased).

Funeral meetings for well-wishers will be held at the Nairobi Club on August 11th & 14th, 2021 between 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm. A virtual Church service will be held on August 18, 2021. Details shall be communicated later.
The cortege will leave Kenyatta National Hospital Farewell Home, on August 19, 2021. Burial shall take on August 20, 2021 at Sisenye village, Budalangi Sub County, Busia County.
