It is with great sadness and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the sudden death of Kathleen Kagwiria Mwongo, which occurred on 1st July, 2021.
Kathleen was the loving daughter of the late Hon. Jacob Ebae Mwongo and the late Joyce Mwari Mwongo. Daughter-in-law of the late Joash Aluda Kisia and Mama Grace Ijilangwa Kisia.
The late Kathleen was an adoring mother  to Khazalwa Kisia (Zash) and Lyagamula Kisia (Gammy) who are siblings to  Elijah, Ethen, and Evana Kisia. 
Sister to the late John Mwongo, Rose Simani, Morris Mwongo-USN/USMC Rtd., Eng. Edward Mwongo, Justice Richard Mwongo and Anthony Mwongo. Sister-in-law to Nicholas Simani, Mary Mwongo, Sylvia Mwongo, Ndinda Mwongo and the late Kanario Mwongo. Aunt to many nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be on Thursday 15th July 2021, from 11:00 am - 1:00pm at the Nairobi Baptist Church, Ngong Road. The service will be conducted strictly in line with the Covid-19 guidelines limiting in-person attendance to 100 persons.
The funeral service will be on Saturday 17th July 2021, from 10:00 am - 12:00pm, at the homestead next to Senende Primary School, Vihiga County. Kathy’s body will be laid to rest following the service. Covid-19 regulations and protocols restricting the funeral gathering to 50 persons will be strictly adhered to. Both services will be streamed live.
Mourners are therefore encouraged to avoid in person attendances and follow events through the live stream links to be availed.
As we lay Kathy to rest, we count those on our journey with us indeed, a blessing.
