It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of Henry Njoroge Thiong’o of Consol Glass Kenya (formerly CGI), after a short illness
Beloved husband to Lucy Wangeci of Thika School for the Blind. Doting father to Nicholas Thiong’o, Stella Wanja and Mark Ndegwa.
Son to the late Moses Thiong’o Mwaganu and the late Lilian Wanjiku Thiong’o. Son-in-law to Francis Mwangi Kamau (Gikonyo) and the late Anjelina Wanjiru Mwangi.
Brother to Fredrick Gakomongi, Mary Wangari, Margaret Muthoni, Francis Ndirangu, Editah Wambui, Christine Wangeci, Hannah Wairimu and Paul Njau. Brother-in-law to Njuguna, Agatha, Salome, Jecinta and others.
Cousin to Ng’ang’a (Goiti), Irene, Prof. S. Kamau of JKUAT, Micino and others. Uncle to many.
There will be a requiem mass on 26/08/2021 at Blessed Joseph Allamano Catholic Church Kiukenda at 6.00pm. There will also be a requiem mass on Friday 27/8/2021 at Don Bosco Catholic Church Gathera, Nginda location, Murang’a county starting at 10.30 am followed by the burial at their family home in the same area.
Friends and family are meeting daily at his home on Kiamumbi Estate, Rabat Road, House No.66.
