It’s with humble acceptance of God’s will, We announce the death of Hannah Njeri Muitie (Nyina wa Waweru) formerly of Lusigetti Village, Karai, Kikuyu Sub-County, Kiambu County with occurred on Friday, 3rd September 2021 at Aga Khan University Hospital, Nairobi.
Loving wife of the late Joseph Njenga Muitie. Daughter of the late Gitau wa Kabiru and the late Gichiru Gitau.
Mother of Martin Waweru Njenga, Cecilia Njoki Hockley (UK), Gitau wa Njenga (C.E.O-Premier Yearbooks), Cyrus Kabiru, Regina Wanjiru Retallack (UK), Grace Nduta Mathews (UK) and Henry Ndung’u Njenga (UK).
Sister of Wambui Muchane, the late Margaret Mumbi Ndung’u, the late Kabiru Gitau, the late Mary Muthoni Gachina, Jeddidah Wangui Kihara, Livingstone Njogu Gitau and Rachel Njoki. Sister-in law of the late Henry Ndung’u Muitie, the late Grace Nduta Ngugi, George Kimani Muitie, the late Stanley Mwaura Muitie (Wangereni) Pastor Peter Kiambuthi, Elizabeth Wangari Githuku and Hannah Wambui Mungai.
Mother-in-law to Nelius Wairimu Kibe, Simon Hockley (UK), Emily Waither wa Njenga (UK) Bedan Njoroge (UK), Mark Mathews (UK) and Noel Ndung’u (UK).
Grandmother of Annie Njeri Orriss, Ivy Gitau wa Njenga, Alvin Njenga, Kimberley Retallack, Jordan Retallack, Megan Retallack and Hawii Njenga Ndung’u – (All of UK)
Great Grandmother of Malachi Njenga Orriss (UK). She was auntie and friend to many.
Family and friends are meeting daily at 5pm at her home in Joska, Mavoko , Machakos County for prayers and burial preparation.
The cortege leaves Aga Khan University Hospital Mortuary on Friday 17th September, 2021 at 8am. Funeral mass and burial service will follow thereafter at 11am at Lang’ata Cemetery, Nairobi.
We will not cry because you are gone, we will rejoice because you lived.
