The family of Louisa Wanjiru regret to announce her transition from this life, which occurred on Wednesday, 13th October, 2021, in Mweiga, Nyeri.
Louisa was a beloved matriarch to our entire family: daughter of Nahashon Mbugua of Ngong’ and Margaret Njeri of Uthiru; wife to the late David Gichero of Nyeri and beloved partner to the late Brian Tetley; mother-in-law to Susan Wanjiku; grandmother to Yvette Wanjiru Munandi and Felistus Nyambura Munandi; mother to Andrew Munandi and Angela Wachuka and step-mum to Lisa Taylor; sister to Wanjiku Gakuo, Kenneth Njoroge, the late Peter Gachira, the late David Thaiya and Robert Thiong’o (Shabaan).
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, 20th October, 2021, at Chiromo Funeral Home from 9.00 am, followed by a Buddhist ceremony and cremation at Kariokor Crematorium from 2.00 pm.
