It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden demise of our beloved Mother, Sister and Friend Rose Makena Ireri, of The Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources, Tree Bio-Technology Programme Trust (TBPT) Karura, which occurred on Wednesday 22nd December, 2021.
The last born child of Jennifer Kirera and the late Samuel Kirera. Devoted and Loving Wife to Ariel Ireri and Doting mother of Lynn Mukami and Lauren Muthoni. Sister to Stephen & Sarah, Gerald & Rose, Ruth, Miriam, Rhoda, the late Margaret Kinya, George & Sarah. Sister In-law to Nyagah & Kagwiria, the late Kithuci & Kainyu, Munene & Njeri, Njeru & Kaari, Muriithi & Beth. Auntie and Grandmother to many.
She was adored by family and friends for, among other things, her compassion, optimism, humour and honesty. She will be loved and missed always.
Family members, friends and well-wishers are meeting daily at her Residence in Platinum Estate 1, Banana Hill, Kiambu County, for prayers and funeral arrangements and in both her parents Residency in Kaimanderi Village, Chogoria, Tharaka Niithi County and Muriinya Village, Buuri Sub-county, Meru County.
The cortège leaves Kenyatta University Teaching, Referral and Research Hospital, on Friday, 31st, December, 2021, at 6:30am, for the funeral service that will be held at Chogoria Girls High School Grounds and thereafter she will be laid to rest at the family homestead, next to the school.
