It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing away of Daniel Paul Kihiu (former Director of Limuru Conference and Training Centre), who rested in our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ on 16th December, 2021, following a short illness.
Daniel was the husband of Esther Kihiu. Son of the late Rev. Paul Gitau Munyange and the late Naomi Gitau; brother of Lillian Mwangi, Joseph Ngugi, the late Robert Muiruri, John Njuguna, the late Willie Wamae and Ruth Gitau (Chania Ebenezer Bookshop, Thika).
Loving father of Michele, Rose, Sophie, the late Paul and Grace; father-in-law of Richard Notice, Philip Ondeng’, Margaret Kihiu and George Weru. Loving grandfather of Daniel, Selah, Amani and Nuru. A grandfather, cousin, brother-in-law, uncle and friend to many.
There will be a memorial service at Githumu High School, on Monday 27th December, 2021, at 11.00am. The cortège will depart from Montezuma Funeral Home - Kabati, at 8.00am and proceed to Githumu High School, for the service followed by the burial thereafter at Githumu.
The service will be broadcast online on Facebook at “Daniel Paul Kihiu Memorial” page for those unable to attend in person.
A fundraiser shall be held at the Family home at Bendor Estate in Thika on Wednesday 22nd December, 2021, at 4.00p.m. to assist the family to offset the hospital and funeral costs. This shall also be broadcast online on the Facebook page noted above for those unable to attend in person.
