It is with deep sorrow and a profound sense of loss that we announce the passing of our beloved father, husband and friend, Dr. Simeon Otieno Dulo, after a short illness while on work duty in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire. Dr. Dulo was a Senior Lecturer for the College of Engineering at the University of Nairobi.

He is survived by his wife & love of his life, Mrs. Mary A. Otieno, his cherished sons Olang’ Onyango, Andrew Ater, Paul Abiero, & his dear daughter-in-law Ruth Djirackor.

Dr. Dulo, who hailed from Kasabong k’Oriang k’Ogweno, was the adored son of the late Paul & the late Zipporah Dulo; stepson to Beatrice Anyango; son-in-law of Andrew & the late Dorinah Ater; grandson of the late Tukiko & Leah, as well as the late Adedes. He was the loving brother to James, Josephine, Carol, David, Elly, Margaret, and Sarah, and sisters-in-law Pamela & Millicent.

He was adored by his uncles & aunts, Samuel & Phoebe, Moses & Julie, Ishmael & Christabel, David & Ted, Isaac & Regina, James, Haggai, as well as Sheila, Rachael, Queen, Stephen, Rose, & others.

He will be fondly remembered as cousin & uncle to many, beloved amongst the Nyaoro Oranga fraternity, the Tukiko Olang fraternity, the Adede & jo’Karabondi fraternities, & more.

Dr. Dulo was an esteemed colleague to many through his expertise in Kenya, across Africa, and across the world, renowned for his sense of duty & dedication to his work. He was also loved within the CITAM church community, with his love & service in the children’s ministry.

His body is presently at Chiromo Mortuary. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday 22 June at CITAM  Valley Road  from 10am to 1pm. This will be followed by a burial service on Friday 24 June, at the family home in Karachuonyo.
